Yes. SCIP's monolithic shotcrete shell, continuous steel mesh cage, and EPS foam core address fire, seismic, wind, and flood resistance simultaneously in a single building system. No add-ons required.

Both use concrete, but SCIP uses a continuous welded steel mesh cage on both faces — providing significantly higher tensile strength and seismic ductility than ICF. SCIP also achieves R-45 insulation vs. typical R-22 for ICF.

Construction costs are comparable or marginally higher upfront. However, lower insurance premiums, dramatically reduced energy bills, and elimination of disaster rebuild risk typically make SCIP significantly more economical over a 10-year horizon.
